Cookie and Browser Storage Policy

This page explains what AvoraCap keeps in your browser and why. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
AvoraCap sets no cookies of its own, and there are no advertising trackers on this site. Our host counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and no identifier. That is why you do not see a cookie banner: everything stored here is needed to run the editor or to remember a setting you chose, and none of it is used to follow you across other websites.
What we keep in your browser
The editor uses your browser's own storage (localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB), not cookies. Nothing in it is sent to advertisers, and it stays on your device until you clear your browser's site data for avoracaptions.com.

The editor sends nothing from this storage to us except your sign-in token (to prove it is you) and, when you are signed in, your caption projects, which are saved to your account so you can continue on another device. We do not use a device fingerprint or a tracking identifier.

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, does not set cookies for avoracaptions.com. Its Web Analytics script (from static.cloudflareinsights.com) counts page views without cookies, browser storage or any identifier.
Why there is no cookie banner
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 regulates personal data, not cookies as such, and the storage listed above is either needed to provide the service you asked for or a setting you chose yourself. Visitors from the European Union and the United Kingdom are covered by the "strictly necessary" and user-requested-preference exemptions in those regions' cookie rules for the same reason. If we ever add anything that sets cookies or tracks you across sites, this page will change and you will be asked first.
How to clear it
Clear the site data for avoracaptions.com in your browser's settings (in Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites). Signing out from the account panel removes your session. Deleting a saved project inside the app removes it from your account; clearing the site data removes the local copy.
